What is Favola Bella?

Welcome to a world of wonderful creations!
This is where your shoes meet my imagination and become
One of a kind pieces of ART!
With your ideas and my paint brushes we can really make something new.
I love getting close to the people I work with on each shoe.
Some want a shoe that tells who they are and what they love.
Some have that overly loved old pair that are worn out and want to be brought back to life!
So they send me them and I paint some new life back into them and give them a face lift.
Upcycling shoes can be really fun and come out better than you could ever imagine.
Then I do baby shoes for baby shower gifts and keep sakes.
There are many ways to use this art form and make it your own.
Some give me full freedom on design and I just go for it.
I ask questions and get to know them a little to feel out what they would enjoy.
Others are very sure of what they want down to the colors and the design.
Either way this is an adventure that is just waiting for you to try it out!

The Amazing Start...And What's to Come!

So The Birth of This Blog has Arrived!

It all started as something I was curious about while pregnant with my 1st child. (born in 2010)
I just wanted something to do...I picked out a pair of white canvas shoes and with out much thought just decide to go for it. I wasn't worried about what to put on them because it was more of a experiment. I did a base coat of white and then drew on them with some permanent markers. I started to get a little nervous by this time. I started to paint them and it just started to come together. I didn't plan our the colors either. It was just me a box of different color paints and these shoes that had strange bugs and garden like design. Honestly I don't know why I ended up doing bugs...I had painted some really neat looking Bee's about 6 years ago and thought why not. 5 hours later or so I HAD SHOES!
I was so excited to be done. Now I just had to spray them to protect them from the weather.

TADAAA!

A year later and they still look GREAT!
I wore them out often since being super pregnant these were the only new shoes I had that fit my puffy feet ;) People would look at me like I was crazy. I wasn't sure if people liked them or not.
Then I shared them with a really good friend of mine and she wanted a pair for her self. I was worried that I wasn't going to do them as well...What was I going to make her? What would she want on some shoes? She just said she trusted me and to do what I do best and be an artist.

Inside I was horrified! I took a deep breath and went for it! This is what became of her shoes...

Which brings us to my final words for now...
This blog is going to be my way of expressing my passion, love, and fables of all the people I meet and do shoes for! I hope you keep coming back to see all the new stories that will be told.

(I held a Contest and she was the winner of a free pair of painted shoes)
